Nicos Alexiou , Athens

The work of Th. Markellos is not a solitary, isolated, and occasional artistic act stemming from the “chance transformations” or “contemporary alignments” so common in our days. It is the condensed result of a continuous journey, and the consequence of a long and arduous dedication to the plastic arts, which led him to master his expressive means, defined the character of his painting, and established him with responsibility in the sphere of plastic discourse.
