Roses with Intense Pink Background in Window

Roses press close against the window frame, their creamy and red petals set against a pink background so saturated it nearly vibrates.

The whole world seems to fall away from these flowers. See how the blooms tip gently to one side? The petals hold such soft color—creamy whites that blush into red, with green notes in the leaves that answer all that pink. You can feel the thick paint building the velvety weight of the flowers against that smooth, flat wash of background. Daylight comes in from the side, just catching the upper petals and letting soft shadows pool in the leaves. A faint glow settles around them, and the air holds the quiet of a long, unhurried morning.
