About This Work
A pale ceramic rim holds the side-light, its curve pressed close to the dark mass of rounded fruit.
Everything feels placed with such care, drawn into the center. The few vessels and rounded forms overlap in a quiet grouping, pulling you in before letting your eye drift. The earth tones are so gentle—warm ochre and dusty olive deepen into umber, lifted only by that pale light on a ceramic rim or the curve of fruit. The light itself is soft. It comes from the side, modeling their shapes without any drama, just leaving gentle shadows pooled behind each one. Time slows here, the air holding the quiet of an afternoon table left to itself.
