Zagora, Spring
M1167
About This Work
Zagora in spring — pale greens moving down the hillsides toward a scatter of rooftops below.
A gentle quiet rests over everything. Your eye just drifts from the rough stones and shrubs right here, out across the fields to that small cluster of houses. The whole landscape holds these soft earth tones—ochre and brown meeting the cool blues of those distant ridges. The light is so soft. It shapes the land without any hard shadows. And see how the paint itself is thicker up close, then breathes out into smoother strokes way back there? A slow stillness settles over the valley, the kind that carries the scent of damp earth and new leaves.
