Attic Landscape

About This Work
Worn beams anchor the foreground while beyond them, the pale Attic plain dissolves into haze beneath a single shaft of dormer light.
A quiet conversation happens here, between the shadowed room and the world outside. The beams and rafters feel so solid, built from umber and sienna. But out there, the land softens into hazy violet and dusty green under a muted sky. All the light comes from one high place, throwing those long patches across the floor and leaving the corners to their shadows. The paint itself holds that same story—thicker on the wood, then thinning to a quiet wash in the distance. Time slows here. The quiet between shelter and horizon settles like something you’d almost forgotten.
