Mytilene, Molivos Boats and Houses

About This Work
Sunlight washes over the coastal village of Molivos, its clear warmth settling on whitewashed walls and terracotta roofs that descend toward the Aegean Sea.
Traditional cubic houses gather on the hillside, their clean geometry softened by modest fishing boats that rest near the shore. Bright walls stand against the deep azure of the water and sky, their warmth echoed in earthy roof tiles and hints of sparse green. Careful brushwork defines the architecture, while looser, fluid strokes feel into the gentle movement of waves and the way light shifts across the water. A dry-brush texture gives a sense of sun-warmed surfaces, and soft gradations in the sky deepen the air. With no figures present, a quiet harmony emerges between the town and its coastal home. Stillness settles over the harbor, the narrow alleyways, and the edge of the sea.
