Nerantza with Moon

About This Work
The moon sits high over a wide, dark sea, its silver light laying a slow path across the water. The quiet holds.
Everything feels so vast out here. That high horizon gives almost all the space to the sea, letting it breathe in deep blues and slate grays. My eye goes to the moon first, then follows its light down across the faint ripples. You can just see the lift of the waves in those little touches of silver. Even the moon itself is soft—its edge dissolves right into the sky. The light is so even, with no hard shadows. The air feels still, and time slows beneath the long gaze of the moon.
