Santorini, Ia, Houses with Sea Background

About This Work
Cobalt domes mark the descent of Ia's cliffside, tier by tier, down to the open Aegean.
A deep quiet seems to settle over everything. It lets your eye follow the rooftops as they cascade right down to the sea. Look how the blues of the domes and windows cut so cleanly into the pure white walls. The architecture itself feels still, held in smooth, controlled lines, while the water and sky seem to breathe. Light falls without a sound, bleaching the faces of the buildings and leaving cool shadow to pool in the alleyways. That deep blue of the water rests at the edge of the world, then softens as it rises. Time slows here, settling over the village like a long, held breath.
