Still Life

A small grouping sits centered, the air holding still around them.

Light falls softly from one side, building the arrangement in a quiet pyramid—fruit and vessel at the middle, cloth and surface carrying outward toward the edges. Ochre and umber breathe across the background, set against deep red in the fruit and muted olive where shadows pool beneath the forms. Brushwork shifts as it moves: smoother on the rounded skins, looser across the cloth, with thin glazes layering to deepen the darker passages. The light is low and lateral, modeling each object gently without harsh edge. Time settles here, the room holding a patient quiet that asks you to simply look.
