Very Fine Still Life

About This Work
A grouping of fruit, glass, and folded cloth sits quietly on a tabletop. The light moves low and patient across each surface.
The arrangement holds a soft triangle—rounder forms at the center, a length of drapery falling toward the front to draw you back into the group. Earth tones in the fruit meet slate and pewter grey in the background, while cream highlights ride along the cloth and cooler glints catch where glass turns. Brushwork leans careful and layered, glazing pulling depth into shadow while thicker paint lifts the highlights. A single source from above left models each object with soft, unhurried shadow. Time settles here, and the air carries the hush of an afternoon left to itself.
