Tuscan Farmhouse

About This Work
Terracotta tiles root the farmhouse to its hillside, a narrow path threading through ochre fields toward the pale, receding hills.
It feels like a single afternoon held in place, slow and warm. The house stands at the center of the quiet, and that little path draws you back, past the fields toward those soft hills. I love how the warm red of the tiles answers the olive greens—it's all earth tones, with the pale sky lifting it all up. The light is so gentle. It shapes the walls without any hard shadows, catching on the window frames and letting the thick paint hold the texture of the plaster. See how the distant hills fade into cooler air? A deep quiet settles over the fields; time just slows here.
