Zagora Landscape
M1675
About This Work
Zagora's hills recede in layers, warm sienna cooling through olive as the ridgeline gives way to open sky.
The land feels quiet, as if holding the warmth of a long afternoon. See those small terracotta forms? A village half-absorbed by the rolling ground. The colors are drawn right from the earth—sun-baked sienna meeting dusty olive, lifted only by chalky whites where stone catches the light. The brushwork changes with the distance. It’s granular and dry up close, then grows smoother in the far hills, letting the country breathe. Far-off ridges rest under a sky that softens to lavender at the edge of the world. Heat settles over everything, and the silence holds.
