Kysos, Pelion, View with Clouds

Tiled rooftops descend the Pelion hillside at Kysos, pale clouds spreading broad above the ochres and greens below.

A quiet warmth settles on the hillside. It begins low, in the ochre rooftops and stone walls, then climbs through olive greens toward the soft lavender horizon. Terracotta tiles answer the earthy browns, while shaded walls slip into quiet blues. The brushwork shifts with what it touches—so smooth for the sky, then broken into shorter marks that build the texture of tile and leaf against stone. Light arrives from the side, catching the edges of roofs and trees, leaving cool hollows tucked between houses. Everything in the distance just softens. A held quiet settles over the village, as if the hour itself has paused on the hillside.
