Perama Sunset
MK736
About This Work
Burnt orange bleeds down to the Perama waterline, drawing the last of the sun into deep red across the harbor.
There's a quietness to this harbor, just as the sun touches the water. The dim shapes of boats and the shoreline seem to settle into the calm. See how that burnt sienna and gold from the sky spills right down onto the sea? It pools in deep red reflections, while the shadows and the high edges of the sky hold all the cooler blues. The paint is so fluid up there, all soft and blended. Down here, it feels drier. The light is long, smoothing everything into silhouette and just catching the shimmer on the ripples. The hour holds its breath, carrying the slow warmth of an Aegean evening as day settles into night.
