About This Work
Charcoal columns and oxidized rust planes hold their ground, cut through by a single cold stroke of electric blue.
Everything here feels poised, held in a moment just before ignition. The shapes stack and intersect—suggesting chimneys or turbines locked together—and build toward that heavy knot at the center. Deep charcoal presses against oxidized reds and cooler slate grays, and then you get those little sparks of electric blue. The paint itself moves between hard edges and broader, rougher marks. Some patches feel like concrete, others are just thin veils where earlier layers breathe through. Light is low, just catching a few surfaces while shadows pool in the spaces between. The air carries the quiet of a machine that’s about to start, patient and waiting.
