About This Work
Cobalt domes crown the white descent, and the caldera spreads its deep blue out to the horizon below.
There’s a quietness here, a settled warmth that seems to belong to a single hour of the afternoon. The whole village cascades toward the water. You can follow its slope along those winding stairs and little pathways. All that crisp white breathes against the cobalt of the domes, but it's grounded by the warm terracotta of a roof or an ochre path, with just a touch of rose in the cool of the shade. The light falls so hard, sharpening every edge and leaving clean blue shadows in the lanes. The noon glare holds steady. The air feels still, and time seems to rest on the caldera's edge.
