About This Work

Grey-blue ridges rise in slow layers across the canvas, their forms simplified into broad, quiet masses. The landscape holds its quiet.

A darker foreground slope gives way to midground shoulders of slate and steel-blue, rising toward paler, near-white peaks at the horizon. Within that restrained palette, soft variations of pewter, ash, and muted indigo carry the recession, with a faint warmer grey marking the closest ridge. The brushwork stays deliberate, smooth gradients giving way to drier, scumbled passages where the rock catches a thin light. Edges soften as the mountains retreat, and a high, diffused glow from above flattens shadow into atmosphere rather than drama. The forms are both real and reimagined—a geometry held inside the landscape. The air feels still, elevated, holding the quiet of a place that exists outside any single hour.
