Zagora Night with Cypresses in Vivid Colors
M1135
About This Work
Zagora's cypresses push into a cobalt and violet sky, their dark forms shot through with umber and crimson.
A strange warmth seems to rise from the village itself, an electric glow against the cool night. It pulls you upward from the dark foreground, past those rooftops you can just barely make out, and into that incredible sky. The trees aren't simply black—they hold deep umbers and olives, with surprising touches of crimson that wake them up. You can feel the energy in the paint, can't you? It's thick and alive in the foliage, but breathes into something softer in the distant hills. The light just glances off a trunk here, a roof there. It never quite settles. It’s as if time slows here, and the silence itself feels lit from below.
