About This Work

A thin crimson stroke cuts near center — precise, deliberate — while slate and bone white hold their positions around it.

Angular shapes converge toward the middle, where overlapping bands pull your attention across the surface and then release it to quieter edges. Slate, bone white, and muted earth tones anchor the composition, interrupted by sharp crimson and a thin yellow line that cuts through. The paint breathes in layers—some passages glazed thin and transparent, others built with firm, controlled strokes that leave clean edges beside softer, scraped zones. Light settles evenly across the work, pooling gently inside the forms. What holds you here is the quiet tension, each gesture measured, the whole piece resting at the edge of something about to shift.
