Livadia—View After Rain
MK498
About This Work
Livadia after rain: the greens have deepened, and a narrow ochre path holds the last of the light among wet stones.
Everything has settled into such a quiet state. You can almost feel the dampness at the bottom edge, where the ground puddles. Your gaze just drifts back from there, over the shapes of trees and stone, to where the hills soften in the distance. The cool greens and blues carry most of the scene, but see that little line of ochre? A path, maybe. Just enough warmth. The light is so gentle. No hard shadows anywhere. It just pools on things, catching the sheen on wet leaves. A held quiet settles over the valley, the kind that follows rain and lingers.
