Mountains with Snow

About This Work
Snow-covered ridges recede across the canvas, each range paler and colder than the last.
There's a quiet over everything. A kind of high-altitude silence. The whole view opens so wide, letting the ridges pull your gaze back toward those distant summits. The colors are mostly cool—icy whites and pale blues—but look at the warmth breathing in the hollows, soft ochre and lavender deep in the shadows. Distant snow is smooth. Closer, the paint feels rougher, catching the texture of exposed rock. The light is high and soft, leaving gentle shadows. A high, quiet stillness settles over the range, holding the cold close.
