About This Work
Orange drains into pink, then into bruised lavender above Velo, the land below caught in the last of the light.
A quiet seems to settle over everything. The land unfolds in long bands, a dark foreground giving way to fields that glow with an ocher light. See how it all pulls toward that distant ridge, where the earth softens into the burning sky? The paint is so different between them. The sky is all soft, blended sweeps of color, while the land has these drier, broken touches that catch the last warmth. Long shadows stretch out. But they don't feel heavy. A held quiet settles over the fields as the day lets go.
