Zagora, Spring, Houses, Tree, Mountains
MK1471
About This Work
Stone houses of Zagora anchor the lower slope, a lone tree rising at center-right while the ridges recede into pale lavender.
Spring feels so quiet in this place. It’s a slow awakening. Our gaze drifts from the small stone houses, past that lone tree, and out toward layered ridges that fade into pale blues and lavenders. The earth between them holds only muted greens and dusty browns. Even the brushwork breathes differently across the canvas, feeling rough and dry on the weathered walls but softening into dabs for the leaves. The light is low and soft. It just grazes the stone, giving everything shape without disturbing the calm. A held quiet rests over the village, slow as the morning warming the stones.
